The most popular tourer interior layouts.
Opposite seating areas makes up to a double bed in seconds by pulling slats across from under the cupboard unit and laying the seats backs into the centre area. Can generally be used as 2xsingle or 1xdouble bed.
These can be found on all berth vans and relate to the main seating area. Benefits are a spacious feel to the lounge and usually a fitted drop picture window opposite which allows more light into the van. Slats pull out to make into a double bed but no provision for 2xsingles.
The additional central seating area provides for extra dining with a pedestal table. The seats convert to a bed with additional cantilever pull up bunk which erects in seconds and usually allows for a 12 stone occupant.
Rear seating area converts to a double or single bed usually with a cantilever bunk above for the extra bed. This area can be usually shut off by way of a sliding wooden door or a curtain dependant o the model.
To the rear of the tourer a fixed island or shaped bed is great for those who like to have their bedroom ready for a cosy nights sleep at a the drop of a hat. On more basic vans the upholstery will be fabric covered foam. Most vans are fitted with a very high quality upholstery such as that made in derbyshire by Beauvale furnishings, this is a very fine, comfortable and hardwearing upholstery which is second to none. |
